MARKLEYSBURG, PA (1-23-10) – An agreement has been reached with Oval Track Promotions, Inc. to purchase Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. The transaction should be finalized and a closing held within the next thirty days.
Speaking for Oval Track Promotions, Corporation President Rick Jones said, “We can hardly wait to get to work and continue on with racing at this fine facility. There will be no change from the current divisions, rules or racing program from 2009. We will race on Saturday nights, same time, same place, same format. We are not looking to change things, just make them even better. A 2010 weekly schedule with special events will be announced soon.”
For Roaring Knob, Managing Partner Ron Brutt said, “We have worked hard to find the right buyer to purchase our facility so that racing could continue there and grow into the future. We are looking forward to working with Rick and his staff to make the transaction as smooth and seamless as possible. We want to again thank all of our fans, racers, sponsors and staff for the support you have given us the past seven years and hope that you all will continue on with Rick.”
